Difficulties are beneficial to our personal growth. There is a famous saying, "no pain no gain." For example, when we take on a new job that we do not have much experience in, the first few weeks can be extremely painful and we may feel enormous pressure and difficulties. 五、中学生备考托福需要经历三个阶段
一般来说，中国的中学生准备托福考试需要经历下述三个阶段：
A）提高基础能力的阶段；
B）能力和应试并举阶段；
C）集中应试阶段；
关于阶段A，道理已经很明白：本来准备给大学生的考试，绝大部分中学生在英语能力上，无论是词汇量，阅读量，知识面等各方面，都是远远不够的，必须要首先提高英语的基础能力。这个英语基础能力，构成了学生进行跳跃（应试）的平台高度。平台高度太低，无论学生如何跳跃，都跳不过托福这跟横杆。
关于阶段B，我们发现，不必等到学生的平台高度达到托福横杆。在稍早的时候，让学生开始接触一下托福，有利于学生建立目标感，有助于学生进行更有针对性的阅读。并且随着阅读的继续进行，学生的平台高度越来越高，学生在这个阶段中会感觉到托福的难度越来越低了。这样基于成就感的正向激励，对于学生坚持阅读非常有好处，因此也有助于把基础能力平台推向新高度。
关于阶段C，这个阶段就是一个密集的应试训练。我们发现，绝大部分学生因为基础能力这个平台高度不够，最终还是要靠密集的应试培训来补缺。国内绝大多数的托福培训都专注于这个阶段。无论是写作套路，核心词表，解题技巧，还是考试机经（考题预测），都属于此类。这个阶段的目标很简单：就是在不提高平台高度的前提下，通过奋力一跃，跳过更高的横杆高度。

高分技巧
1.结构
按题材划分，独立任务属于议论文，而论点、理由、论据、结论和论证是议论文的五个要素。具体来说，“论点”是文章的核心，“理由”是论点成立的依据，两者构成因果关系;“论据”是对理由的具体解释，多为事例;“结论”是对观点的重申，两者一脉相承、头尾呼应;而整个写作过程就是一个“论证”的过程。
要想作文得高分，这五要素就必须面面俱到，如此才能写出结构严谨、条理清晰的高分作文。
议论文除了五要素，在给出论点之前多会有简单的背景介绍，不需要长，三两句话即可，为论点的提出造势。
2.内容
这篇范文通过通讯、交通和饮食三个方面，共同论证现在的孩子相较其祖父辈生活的更轻松、舒适，每个理由下面都有具体的事例作为细节支撑，让论证更有说服力。
以饮食为例，作者举例说，以前食品由政府分配，数量有限制，人们不能随心所欲买到需要的食品;而现在则大不一样，在超市里人们可以买到任何所需物品。这种新旧对比，更鲜明的表现出现代社会物资丰富、人们的选择权增加，由此可推断人们的生活变得更便捷、舒适，从而证明论点。
3.语言
一篇高分作文在语言上，首先要保证语法正确，用词恰当，这样才能准确达意。在此基础上可以追求更多样、高级的表达。例如，文章开头要表现“社会发展迅速，人们的生活发生了天翻地覆的变化”这一含义，最常见的表达为：

通过三个句子对比可知，其中“迅速”的三种表达方式，quickly 最为平淡，rapid 居中，remarkable 最佳。同样的，要表达“翻天覆地”的含义，tremendous 就要比 great 或者 enormous 好的多，其他替换的词还有 considerable，drastic，significant 等等。
语言的优化需要不断的积累和练习，多记多练，不断扩充自己的语料库，唯有如此，文章才会写的越来越漂亮，但是咱们很多考生平时不练笔，不积累语料，想单纯依赖“复杂单词，黄金句型”就拿高分——基本没戏。

二、托福写作高分技巧
1.简化内容，确保文章符合逻辑
内容简单化是考生在构思新托福作文时应遵循的原则，考生不论是在练习时还是在考场上都应当牢记这一点。ETS出托福作文试题时特别注意选择一些弹性不是很大的题目，因为托福考试作为一种语言测试方式，其重点在于测试考生英语语言水平，考生在构思时只要保证自己的内容符合逻辑，能够言之有理、言之成理、切题即可，然后把更多的注意力放在如何追求语言的得体性上。
2.结构模式化 ，强化写作练习
托福高分作文的第二大策略是结构模式化，这也是最核心的一条策略。通览以往的托福作文考题，细心的考生不难发现，托福作文考题不仅题目弹性很小，而且题型相结稳定，这就为考生在短期内提高作文分数创造了一个条件，使考生完全可以在考前针对考试中可能出现的题型按照固定的结构模式进行训练。新托福作文考题从语言形式上可大致分为三个类型，第一种为二选一，即题目给出两种观点，问考生倾向于哪一种观点，但近两年这类题目转向隐蔽化，考生要学会“拨云见日”，将隐蔽的题目转化成熟悉的题型。
3.包装语言，练习句法结构
做到内容简单化和结构模式化，考生就已经向托福高分作文的目标迈进了一大步，如果考生还能在语言的细节上下一些功夫，托福作文的分数就会更上一层楼，这也就是我们接下来要谈的第三大策略：语言要包装。托福高分作文明确要求句子要做到多样化，所以最好不要全盘使用简单句，这样会降低文章的层次、复杂句和简单句应在文章中交叉出现，而对一些描述性的例证以及临时想起的内容可以使用简单句。
三、托福写作练习方法
1.积累优秀词汇、句型和文章结构
开始练习independent writing时，同学们往往会遇到不知如何下手的问题。因此，在练习的初期，可以先阅读一些新托福写作的范文、相关书籍；精读里面的文章，注意作者的文章结构和展开方式，同时积累例子和细节。这样，我们对于独立写作的套路就有了基本的了解。另外在关注文章的展开方式时，我们同样可以学习范文里的句式结构和高深的词汇。并不是鼓励大家抄袭，而是真正地掌握较高级的句子结构和较复杂的词汇，这些都会给我们的作文加分。
2.针对不同话题思考自己的观点
经过了范文学习的过程，就可以开始针对不同话题的文章思考自己的观点，列出提纲，寻找supporting details。这样，在做好了充分的准备后，就可以有准备地开始真正的练笔阶段。特别要说明的是，如果同学们没有好的模拟写作小软件，建议使用windows自带的写字板，切忌使用Microsoft Word等具有纠错功能的软件进行模拟写作。在练笔的**初阶段可以不计时间，但熟悉了写作的流程后一定要每次写作都计时，模拟真实的考试环境。
3.培养听力和复述能力
Integrated writing部分是听力和写作的结合，不需要大家发表个人观点，因此考察的是听力能力和复述的能力。在听力前的三分钟要认真阅读题目中的文字，文字中会有3个支持文字观点的论据，听力则会针对这三个观点逐个展开。对于听力部分，同样提醒大家要多做笔记，记住细节，在作文展开中体现出来。因为综合写作的模式比较固定，因此可以提前准备好模版和固定的句式。注意，一篇**的综合写作一定有变化多样的句式，这个在我们准备模版的时候一定要体现出来。
托福考试的内容具体如下：
托福口语
新托福考试内容之口试介绍(Speaking)：把TSE(Test of Spoken English)融合在新托福中。托福口语是托福考试题型之一。
然而与现行的TSE相比又有较大改动。这个部分共有6题，持续约20分钟。
第一、二题要求考生就某一话题阐述自己的观点。
第三、四题要求考生首先在45秒内阅读一段短文，随后短文隐去，播放一段与短文有关的对话或课堂演讲。最后，要求考生根据先前阅读的短文和播放的对话或课堂演讲回答相关问题，考生有30秒钟的准备时间，然后进行60秒钟的回答。
第五、六题要求考生听一段校园情景对话或课堂演讲，然后回答相关问题。
考生可以在听音过程中记笔记以帮助答题。在准备和答题时，屏幕上会显示倒计时的时钟。
托福听力
新托福考试内容之听力介绍(Listening)：取消了短对话。托福听力是托福考试题型之一。
由两篇较长的校园情景对话和四篇课堂演讲组成，课堂演讲每篇长约5分钟。这个部分持续大约50分钟。
托福阅读
新托福考试内容之阅读介绍(Reading)：有三篇文章。托福阅读是托福考试题型之一。
